Stainless Steel Floats are manufactured using either 304 and 316 stainless steel. They are available in sizes 2 in. to 12 in. The float, is weighted to operate accurately at the specific gravity of the fluid to be measured. Copper Floats are hollow and made from copper and weighted to allow them to float at the correct depth. They are made for open-tank, no-pressure applications at temperatures below 212°F. Unlike a stainless steel float, copper floats are manufactured by sweating solder into an overlapping joint that maintains a smooth and true spherical or cylindrical exterior surface. While the flag is undoubtedly the most important thing displayed on a flagpole, topping the flagpole with a flagpole ball or intricately detailed eagles can add to the overall appearance and impact of a flagpole. A flagpole ball is constructed of two curved pieces joined together and placed on a threaded rod that is inserted into the flagpole truck.
